The Second Sunday after the Epiphany of our Lord
The calling of Nathanael by Jesus teaches us more than our Savior's judgement of character.  In it we find the omniscience (all-knowingness) of God Himself embodied in the God/man from Nazareth.  Jesus knows you intimately and uniquely and close communionly.
The First Sunday after the Epiphany & The Baptism of Our Lord
Jesus is today with John at the Jordan River.  Why is He who had no sin with sinners who have gathered together for forgiveness?  Why is what was done there in Jesus' baptism meaningful for us and our baptism into Him?
The Second Sunday after Christmas
A service for the Second Sunday after Christmas focusing on God's gift of wisdom to Solomon, the gifts of God lavished on us thanks to His grace, and the child Jesus growing in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.  Which gifts has God given you?  How can you use them for His glory and for the advance of His kingdom?

Family services with communion are always available.  Feel free to schedule with the Pastor Ethridge.

Mark 1:7 – “And (John) preached, saying, ‘After me comes he
who is mightier than I, the strap of whose sandals I am not
worthy to stoop down and untie.’ ”

John is right. Jesus is immensely greater than any of us yet behold
how He came to serve! That is the upside down, outlandish grace
of God. The innocent Jesus takes our sinner’s place. This is the greatest
act of giving the world has ever known or will know. The Father gives
His Son to die in the place of sinners.

This week’s sanctuary candle has been given                             today in loving memory of Adam (Red) Jans,                            grandson of John & Joyce Jans, who went to                              his eternal home 15 months ago.

If you would like to donate a sanctuary candle ($5) in memory of or in honor
of someone or an occasion, please let the church office know.

From Holy Scripture

“Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set His seal of ownership on us, and put His Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.”
